THE DOBES OIL STORY
Dobes Oil Ltd was incorporated as a limited liability company in 2002 to market and supply petroleum products after the CEO’s experience with running a franchise station under Texaco currently MRS Nigeria.
We are a dynamic company with a strong interest in setting high standards when it comes to product quality and services. Our core strength arises from a dynamic workforce, recruited and trained to deliver excellence in service, growing and keeping our customers.
Managed and supervised by a competent set of leaders with lots of experience in this line of work and a ‘no-nonsense approach’ gives us a competitive edge in the market especially in terms of service delivery to all customers.
The awareness that continuous growth and development of the staff means continued growth and development for the company drives us to allocate resources to training programs for an ever-improving quality of service and downstream expansion via building more retail outlets.
We are currently off taking from vessel importers and distributing to marketers and bulk buyers across the nation with a vision of putting up a tank farm, thus being a plus one in availing and distributing petroleum products across the country.
THE HUMBLE BEGINNING
As a young man in school, I had worked under my father who was at the time a dealer with the then Texaco. He was a boy scout kind of man who was known for his being straightforward, trustworthy and without guile in his dealings. I sometimes functioned as a sales attendant, at other times as director of operations, so I grew up having a liking for oil and gas with dreams of floating an oil company after school.
BIRTH OF DOBES OIL
In 2000 and 2001, I conceived the idea of Dobes Oil Ltd, I birthed it and incorporated it, after all, “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement.”
OPERATIONAL BEGINNING
We came into full operations downstream with the motto: Keeping the ancient landmark; that is, growing, building and developing from what my father was and what he had done and do beyond, supplying the end users of petroleum products with clean, trustworthy products and services, moving upstream and diversifying into exploration and marginal fields.
